'I'm aware' - Angel Gomes gives update on his future amid Manchester United transfer links
Lille midfielder Angel Gomes is trying to block out ongoing speculation concerning his future amid reports linking him with a return to Manchester United.
The United academy graduate is out-of-contract at the Ligue 1 outfit at the end of this season and has been linked with a return to Old Trafford at various junctures in the last few months.
Gomes, 24, left United in June 2020 after turning down the offer of a new contract. He joined Lille on a five-year deal later that summer and has made 131 appearances for the French club, scoring nine goals and registering 19 assists.

But with his contract up at the end of this season, speculation concerning his next move is mounting - and United have been credited with interest in his signature by reports elsewhere. However, Gomes is currently focused on helping Lille enjoy as successful a season as possible.
Addressing his future, Gomes, as quoted by Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, said: "I'm aware of clubs enquiring about my situation, but I'm now completely focused on Lille
"I want to finish the season in the best way possible, and then we will see what happens. I'm focused on the present and not on negotiations."
Gomes has made 17 appearances for Lille so far this season, chipping in with one goal. He has also earned his first four caps for England this term after being handed his debut against the Republic of Ireland back in September by former Three Lions interim boss Lee Carsley.
The midfielder, who made ten appearances during his time at United, will be hoping to impress new England boss Thomas Tuchel in the coming months ahead of next year's World Cup. England are next in action in March, facing Albania and Latvia in their opening two World Cup qualifiers.
