Everyone inside Anfield wanted a piece of Jürgen Klopp as he said his goodbyes. From the Wolves staff to the stewards, each and every person in attendance sought to recognize a true Liverpool legend — and that included FSG owner John W Henry and his wife Linda Pizzuti.

It had been expected for some time that Pizutti and Henry, along with other key FSG figures, would come to Anfield to say goodbye to Klopp. While the Liverpool owners are not present especially often, they have typically made appearances for some of the biggest occasions, with this certainly fitting the bill.

And Klopp made a beeline for them after speaking to his players on the pitch. He shot down the Liverpool tunnel, where he greeted Henry and Pizzuti.

Pizutti has often endeared herself to Liverpool with her posts on social media, where she has confirmed her status as a genuine fan of the club. Earlier in the season, she hit back at a fan claiming she 'didn't care'.

And she was the recipient of a big Klopp hug, before the Liverpool boss went to Henry. The duo exchanged a few words before both were ushered off in new directions, as the club moved everyone into position for the planned tributes.

Klopp then saw Henry again as he went up to the podium to receive his mementos. Those included miniature replicas of all the trophies he has won at Liverpool, as well as pennants from the finals. There was a final moment with Pizutti and Henry after Klopp had blessed all four sides of Anfield with his famous fist pumps.

Liverpool.com says: People have asked questions about Klopp's relationship with FSG over the years, with many wondering if the Liverpool manager could have been backed more completely. But he hit back at those claims earlier this week, and there was some real warmth in his interactions with Henry and Pizutti.

But one thing's for sure, Henry owes just about everything to Klopp. Appointing him was by far the best decision FSG ever made, and it was through him that the club was transformed. With Klopp confirming Arne Slot as the next manager, the pressure will be on him now to live up to these impossible standards.
