Liverpool could make wholesale changes midweek for its trip to face PSV in the Champions League, with Arne Slot's side already guaranteed a place in the top two in the standings.

The likes of Wataru Endo, Conor Bradley, Jarell Quansah and Federico Chiesa could be in line to get minutes but there are still three players sidelined through injury. Slot will likely offer the latest update on the trio during his pre-match press conference tomorrow, while Curtis Jones will hope to feature in the open training session that the Reds take part in ahead of the game.

Jones, Slot said last week, does have a chance of playing against PSV. If there is any risk involved with him featuring, however, he will not be thrown onto the field.

"He went out during half-time, so that's mostly not a good sign," Slot said of the injury that forced Jones off against Lille. "He will not be available for the game [against Ipswich]. We have to wait and see how long it's going to take. I'm not expecting months... but let's see if he’s available for PSV or Bournemouth."

Diogo Jota and Joe Gomez are both missing at the moment through injury. Jota is expected back before Gomez, but neither will be back for another few weeks. The pair have different injuries but are both set to miss some more key action with a return before March hopefully possible.

Arne Slot was asked about Curtis Jones' injury during his pre-Ipswich press conference.

Liverpool.com says: Slot has done well to manage fitness so far in the main. Jota being out, though, is a major blow. There might need to be a conversation about him in the summer given how much soccer he is missing. Finding a more reliable option through the middle of the attack might need to become a priority.

As for Jones, the hope is that this is nothing serious. The Liverpool midfielder has been playing really well lately and has really established himself as a key player either in the starting XI or from the bench. He is another who has a history of picking up unfortunate injuries so it would be a major boost if he was back quickly from this one.
