Liverpool has one player missing vs Tottenham as Arne Slot may have already made big call
Liverpool is in the ultra rare position of having an almost clean bill of health heading into tomorrow’s Carabao Cup semi-final second leg. In fact, Arne Slot is set to be without just one of his players for the visit of Tottenham.
The Reds of course have a 1-0 deficit to overturn after falling to a defeat in controversial circumstances in North London. With the Anfield crowd behind them, and Spurs still struggling with a long injury list, they will be confident of overcoming that disadvantage and reaching yet another Wembley final.
In a massive contrast to his opposite number, Slot has a near fully-fit squad to pick from after being handed a couple more boosts during the weekend win over Bournemouth. Both Diogo Jota and Curtis Jones were able to take their places on the bench, overcoming their recent injuries at just the right time for what is set to be an important few weeks for the Reds.

In fact, such is the wealth of players Slot currently has that he had little choice but to leave Federico Chiesa out of his squad on the south coast, despite the Italian having impressed against PSV Eindhoven during the week.
There is a chance Chiesa could return tomorrow after Trent Alexander-Arnold was ruled out, having picked up a thigh injury at Bournemouth. The Liverpool vice-captain’s problem is not thought to be too serious though, with Slot revealing there is a chance he could return for Sunday’s FA Cup tie against Plymouth Argyle.
With all but one of his players available then, Slot will be able to name a strong side as he looks to reach his first final in charge of Liverpool. The Reds boss did leave one decision up in the air during his pre-match press conference on Wednesday, although he looks to have made a decision now.
The Dutchman told reporters that he was yet to decide who would start in goal between Alisson Becker and Caoimhin Kelleher, but that he would inform the pair of his decision straight after his media duties. Having been given the nod in the first leg, you would expect the former to start once again at Anfield, although Slot may yet have a surprise in store.
