Alisson Becker 7

Good stops from Hwang and Neto at either end of the game in an otherwise very quiet performance.

Trent Alexander-Arnold 7

Found space going forward after Wolves were reduced to 10 men. Had a few sights at goal and flurry of good crosses demanded a better finish. Subbed.

Jarell Quansah 8

Solid enough defensively and involved in the build-up to first goal before prodding home the second. A real success story this season.

Virgil van Dijk 7

Too strong for Cunha inside the area in one instance and sauntered his way through things before break. Good block denied certain goal for same player second half.

Andy Robertson 7

Took a big bang when landing awkwardly during first half but able to press forward effectively. Bit more subdued after that.

Wataru Endo 7

Forced Sa into a good stop and began to pick up plenty of loose balls towards interval and grew in influence. Booked, obviously.

Harvey Elliott 8

Another impressively busy display, his cross inviting the opener and gave Liverpool attacking momentum. Popped up on the left occasionally, too. Subbed.

Alexis Mac Allister 8

Some good challenges and neat touches early on and fine header for the first having been caught heavily by Semedo for the red-card challenge moments earlier. Fine display. Subbed.

Mohamed Salah 7

Began to get more joy up against Ait-Nouri, shot deflected to tee up second and twice close before break. Denied several other occasions by Sa second half for a goal that just wouldn’t come.

Cody Gakpo 7

Flick-on from corner helped initiate second goal and another decent performance leading the line. Subbed.

Luis Diaz 7

Plenty of endeavour and pressing down the left and deliveries caused panic in Wolves defence. Somehow hit the underside of the bar from a few yards. Subbed.

Ryan Gravenberch (for Mac Allister 70) 6

Minimal contribution from the Dutchman.

Conor Bradley (for Alexander-Arnold 71) 6

A few forward forays from the youngster.

Darwin Nunez (for Diaz 71) 6

Some nearly moments from the Uruguayan

Curtis Jones (for Elliott 81)

Minutes for the midfielder.

Dominik Szoboszlai (for Gakpo 81)

Hello sir.
