Liverpool set to sanction transfer exit as Arne Slot could green light at least one more move
Liverpool is not expected to have a busy transfer deadline day and it is possible it will be one of the quieter ends to the window across the board in the Premier League. But there are some loan deals that could happen.
Playing just 177 minutes for Norwich City while he was on loan with the Championship outfit earlier in the season, Kaide Gordon could now head to Portsmouth in the same division. According to The Athletic, that is a deal that will be sealed today after the 20-year-old winger was recalled a few weeks ago.
Gordon became the second youngest goalscorer in Liverpool's history when he found the back of the net against Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup in January 2022. He was 17 at the time but has since been ravaged by injuries that have hampered his progress.

Jayden Danns and James McConnell have also drawn interest from the Championship. Arne Slot said last week that the latter had impressed him so much against PSV that he could keep him around but both players are ready for regular senior action.
While they would benefit from training with Liverpool for the remainder of the season, there is an argument that they could develop by playing every week too. Danns might have gone out on loan last summer had he not been injured. Lewis Koumas has done well during his spell with Stoke City.
Liverpool.com says: Gordon is a really talented player, but after so many injuries, he just needs regular minutes. If he can get them and get back to full sharpness, he is more than good enough to play in the second tier. He could even become a Premier League player as long as he can find a way to get on the pitch consistently.
