Liverpool transfer news as Reds monitor Premier League defender amid unbelievable Darwin Nunez offer
Liverpool is continuing to monitor Brazilian center-back Murillo despite the defender recently signing a new deal at Nottingham Forest, according to Rousing the Kop.
The Brazilian has been linked with a move to Anfield over the past year or so, although an immediate switch looks as though it might be out of the question now, with Murillo having signed a new four-and-a-half year deal at Forest.
Nevertheless, Liverpool is said to remain interested, although it's also claimed that he won't leave the City Ground before the summer of 2026.
Meanwhile, Al-Hilal was willing to pay Darwin Nunez £29million ($36m) per year to join the club during the January transfer window, according to The Telegraph; that works out at a whopping £560,000 ($690,000) per week!

The Reds apparently rejected an $85million offer for Nunez from the Saudi Pro League outfit earlier this month. Nunez has endured a largely difficult season under Arne Slot but enjoyed one of his best moments in a Liverpool shirt last weekend, emerging as a substitute versus Brentford and scoring twice in injury time to secure a 2-0 win.
Finally, Real Madrid has turned its attentions to signing Martin Zubimendi, according to Fichajes.
The Real Sociedad midfielder turned down a move to Liverpool last summer, and although the Reds are reported to have retained an interest in him, it has looked in recent weeks as though Arsenal may win the race for his signature this year.
Real, though, is said to be determined to bring him to the Bernabeu, and believes that hiring Xabi Alonso as their next manager could be decisive in convincing Zubimendi to make the move.
