Luke Shaw took part in the full training session at Carrington on Wednesday morning but it has not yet been decided whether he will travel to Romania for Manchester United's Europa League clash with FCSB.

The defender has been recovering from a muscle injury and head coach Ruben Amorim said two weeks ago that he would be back within a fortnight.

Shaw has made just three appearances for United this season, all of which have been via the bench. He last started when United beat Luton Town 2-1 at Kenilworth Road in February 2024.

The defender has experienced a torrid time on the injury front over the last 12 months and will be desperate to make up for lost time as quickly as possible. Despite being scheduled to participate in the full training session, it remains unclear if he will travel to Bucharest.

United will lock horns with FCSB with the ambition of wrapping up a place in the Europa League last-16. Last Thursday night's 2-1 win over Rangers elevated the Reds to fourth in the league table.

United currently have a two-point cushion over ninth-placed Galatasaray, meaning they are guaranteed to progress to the first knockout stage of the competition if they secure a fifth successive Europa League win.

Depending on results elsewhere, a draw may also be enough to see United through. FCSB currently sit eighth in the table, one point ahead of Galatasaray, meaning they are under slightly more pressure to secure all three points.

In the event of United missing out on a top eight spot, they will go into next month's play-off round, where they will face a two-legged tie.
