Man City set to lose one player on transfer deadline day
Manchester City are unlikely to see exits on transfer deadline day for homegrown players James McAtee and Nico O’Reilly.
Pep Guardiola insisted that McAtee be a part of his squad this season but has admitted that the player has perhaps not had as many minutes as he deserved. However, the club have pushed back on all interest in McAtee this month and Guardiola wants to keep him for the second half of the campaign.
He said last week: "He's going to stay. We don't have enough players. We have a World Cup at the end of the season. We have a lot of games.

"I think he can play more minutes. There are minutes he has to fight for and continue to fight. I'm really pleased for Macca.
"At the same time, maybe an offer arrives where the club say we have to sell him. My opinion on Macca that I said to the club is clear but it is always the club and the club has to take resources and sell players and it depends on what happens."
O’Reilly will also be staying after an approach from Chelsea was turned down last month. City would only consider a deal if they could have the protection of a buyback clause, and with Chelsea unwilling to offer that the talks ended there.
Jacob Wright could leave for Swansea after a deal was agreed for a six-month loan with an obligation to buy for the Championship club if they stay up. Wright was in South Wales on Sunday and Swansea will hope to wrap a deal up which is understood to total around £4million.
Meanwhile, City are weighing up whether to add a midfielder to their squad for the second half of the season, and are in negotiations with Porto over Nico Gonzalez on deadline day.
