Man United legend Wayne Rooney shows true colours on Man City with nine-word jibe
Former Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney took just one minute to take a jibe at Manchester City during his punditry role with Amazon Prime Video.
Rooney joined Clarence Seedorf and Daniel Sturridge on the streaming site's panel at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday night. The former United striker was confirmed to be on the punditry team on Monday night after losing his job at Plymouth.
The 39-year-old is one of the most in-demand profiles in the industry with Sky Sports and TNT Sports reportedly battling it out for his long-term services. The BBC are also said to be pushing to add him to their new-look team for Match of the Day.

Rooney is expected to seek a return to management in the near future with his name linked with a number of jobs in the English Football League. However, many have tipped him to follow Gary Neville and Roy Keane in making a career out of punditry.
On Tuesday night, Rooney stood pitchside at the Etihad Stadium in the pouring rain was introduced by Gabby Logan on his Amazon Prime Video debut. And he used his first interaction to poke fun at United's rivals.
“Yeah, I have [picked a good game to make his debut]," he said. "It’s a stadium I’ve scored a lot of goals in so I’m sure I’ll get a nice welcome.”
Rooney scored six goals at the Etihad Stadium with Man United and then with Everton. He bagged 12 times in 31 games overall throughout his career against the Citizens - including the memorable overhead-kick winner.
