Manchester City players baffled by sticks of Brighton Rock
It was sweet success for Manchester City as they sealed their latest Premier League title win away at Brighton at the weekend.
During the post-match celebrations following an emphatic 4-1 victory on the South Coast, Pep Guardiola’s side were offered a traditional local gift in the form of Brighton Rock.
However, the gesture was met with confusion by many of the Champions’ overseas players, who seemed genuinely baffled by the sugary treat on offer.
A video posted to social media by the club from inside the changing room shows the likes of Sergio Aguero, Leroy Sane and Gabriel Jesus looking perplexed when presented with the sweet.

The sweets were specially prepared by Brighton-based confectioners, The Rock People, with each one coloured blue and white in City colours.
Each stick also had the lettering ‘MAN CITY, CHAMPIONS’ running through the rock and appearing on the surface.

City clinched their fourth title of the Premier League era and second in succession after fending off the brave challenge of second-place Liverpool on the final day.
Needing a win to secure the championship, Guardiola’s team actually went behind to a Glenn Murray header early on at the AMEX.
However, goals from Aguero, Aymeric Laporte, Riyad Mahrez and Ilkay Gundogan saw City claim victory and the title in style.
