Manchester United announce signing of Arsenal youngster after Chido Obi-Martin success
Manchester United have completed the signing of Arsenal centre-back Ayden Heaven for an undisclosed fee after agreeing a compensation package with the Gunners.
The 18-year-old, who moved to the Emirates Stadium after a spell in West Ham United's academy, has signed a four-and-a-half-year deal at Old Trafford, keeping him at the club until June 2029, with the option of an additional year.
United have confirmed he will immediately join the first-team squad and is the second time in as many windows they have secured the signing of a highly rated Arsenal youngster, following the summer arrival of prolific teenage forward Chido Obi-Martin.

Heaven joins United having made one senior appearance for Arsenal, appearing as a substitute in their 3-0 win over Preston North End in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup back in October.
On securing a move to Old Trafford, Heaven said: "I am incredibly proud to join Manchester United. I'm grateful to everyone who helped make this dream a reality.
"There is so much that I want to achieve in the game, I'll be giving everything to continue my development and become the best player that I can be."
Despite being a left-footed centre-back by trade, Heaven is also capable of playing at left-back and as a defensive-minded midfielder. He started as a centre-back when United faced Arsenal in their opening game of their pre-season tour of the United States last July.
United technical director Jason Wilcox added: "We are delighted that Ayden has joined Manchester United. He is already an extremely talented defender who is ready to join our first team squad in order to maximise his development.
"This club has a phenomenal track record of supporting young players and we believe that Ayden is in the perfect place to reach his excellent potential."
