Manchester United dealt huge transfer blow as target 'spotted' at Man City vs Chelsea
Manchester United could be set to miss out on highly-talented Sverre Nypan to rivals Manchester City after he was spotted at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday night.
Nypan, 18, has been linked with a move to the Premier League since the summer following his fine performances with Rosenborg in Norway. Having already appeared 60 times at senior level, the teenager is regarded as one of Europe's most exciting wonderkids.
United and City, as well as Arsenal, were all mentioned as potential destinations for him in the January transfer window. In the week, Norwegian press spotted him at Oslo Airport boarding a flight to Manchester, sparking speculation that he was visiting his future employers.

Despite previously admitting that he dreamed of playing for the Red Devils, Nypan now appears close to joining City. Various reports have claimed that the Citizens would make use of their multi-club model and loan him for the rest of the season at Girona.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the 18-year-old was in attendance for City's Premier League game against Chelsea on Saturday night. The journalist claimed that he was offered the English champions' proposal after holding talks on Friday.
However, the report does state that no decision has been made on his future yet which could leave the door open for United or Arsenal to hijack the deal for the wonderkid.
United were linked with him before the season started and were understood to have been left impressed with his performance in pre-season against Erik ten Hag's team.
