Manchester United shirt numbers available to Mathys Tel and potential signings on deadline day
Manchester United have not given up hope of adding to their squad ahead of the January transfer window closing at 11pm this evening.
United bolstered their defensive options over the weekend, swooping for Arsenal youngster Ayden Heaven on Saturday before announcing the arrival of Patrick Dorgu from Lecce on Sunday.
Both players were unveiled to United's supporters on the Old Trafford pitch ahead of the 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace. The pair held up United shirts with their name and number on the back, with Dorgu claiming 13 and Heaven taking 26.

With the clock ticking, United have ambitions of adding an attacker to their ranks before the bell. As reported by the Manchester Evening News, it is understood Chelsea's Christopher Nkunku and Mathys Tel of Bayern Munich are under consideration.
It is believed the French duo are at the top of the shortlist United have drawn up. A move for either player is expected to be a loan deal. But what shirt numbers are available for any deadline day additions to scoop at Old Trafford? Below, MEN Sport has taken a close look.
No.10 - Following Marcus Rashford's switch to Aston Villa on loan for the remainder of the season, the iconic No.10 shirt is currently up for grabs at Old Trafford. Rashford had donned it since the start of the 2018/19 season.
No.19 - The No.19 shirt has been vacant since Raphael Varane departed Old Trafford at the end of last season. Prior to it being donned by Varane for three seasons, it was previously worn by the likes of Amad and Rashford.
No.21 - Following Antony's move to Real Betis earlier this month, the No.21 shirt is now up for grabs. The last strikers to wear it were Uruguayans Edinson Cavani and Diego Forlan.
No.27 - Has not been worn by anyone at United since Wout Weghorst spent the second half of the 2022/23 season at Old Trafford. Other players to have previously worn that number include Alex Telles, Marouane Fellaini and Federico Macheda.
No.28 - Facundo Pellistri was the most recent occupier of the No.28 shirt. He left Old Trafford last summer to join Panathinaikos.
No.29 - Became vacant last summer after United agreed to sell Aaron Wan-Bissaka to Premier League counterparts West Ham United. The likes of James Wilson and Wilfried Zaha donned it prior to the right-back.
No.30 - Goalkeeper Nathan Bishop was the last United player to don the No.30 shirt. Prior to him, it had been worn by Matteo Darmian.
Shirt numbers above 30 that are currently available include 31, 32, 33, 34, 36, 38, 39 and 40. Tel currently wears No.39 at Bayern.
