Manchester United's new pink shirt revealed - and fans cannot decide if they love or hate it
It looks a white shirt that found its way into the wrong wash cycle: Welcome to the world, Manchester United’s new pink strip for the 2018-19 Premier League season.
Pictures of the Red Devils’ away top have been revealed online after they were spotted for sale in an adidas shop in Taiwan.
And the heavily-diluted red has drawn mixed responses from supporters even though it is supposedly a tribute to Football Pink of the Manchester Evening News which is no longer printed.

Although football hipsters have long since adored Palermo’s pink top, the jury is very much out on whether it works in the Theatre of Dreams.
Some love it, some genuinely hate it, while some have ignored the pinkness and already rebranded it as ‘peach’ in a bid to soften the blow.

I've already got my Fellaini kit. …Imma gonna get myself the pink kit with our women's captain name on it @ManUtd @SophRicho so proud that the club made that step forward

But the most unpleasant aspect of ‘kitgate’ for many could very well be the price which is reported to be £109.95 – the same as the brand new home shirt which was released this week with a nod to the railwaymen founders of the club in 1878 in the shape of a train line on it.
If you fancy going the whole hog, fans can add their name, number, shorts and socks for a staggering £192.85.

You pay how much for the privilege of making these kits? You didn't leave any room in the budget for a professional design team? They can't even draw a train-track properly? This is very cheap-looking. Our home shorts are white. We do not want a pink kit. 😡

Please don't release that pink kit that's doing the rounds

The bad news for United fans with money to burn is that they will have to wait until August 12 to get their hands on it – two days after Jose Mourinho & Co kick off their Premier League season at home to Leicester.
The worse news is that Marouane Fellaini will not only rise like a salmon when he heads home in a Carabao Cup away match, he will look like one as well…
