Marco Silva focused on job at hand with Watford amid continuing Everton speculation
Marco Silva has insisted he remains focused on the job at hand with Watford as he continues to be linked with the vacant manager’s job at Everton.
The Portuguese, who has impressed during his time in England, first with Hull and now with Watford, was approached by Everton earlier this month with regards to taking over the reins at Goodison Park.
Watford rejected such interest, though, turning down a £10m offer before the Toffees conceded defeat in the pursuit of the 40-year-old days later.

Nonetheless, with Silva and his men preparing to welcome Manchester United to Vicarage Road on Tuesday night, speculation continues to surround the Watford manager’s future.
When asked about this in his pre-match press conference on Monday, he said: "I can't talk about this situation, I am the Watford manager.
"Of course you ask, but most important for me is our game tomorrow.
"The position is not open, there is someone doing the job [caretaker boss David Unsworth].
"It is not the moment to talk about the situation but I am still here with 100 per cent focus to talk about the match tomorrow.
"You need to ask them [Everton], not myself."
However, Silva did concede that he may move away from Vicarage Road at some point, providing he continues to prosper.
He said: "I work every day to improve and my focus at this moment is to do my best, like I did this morning, tomorrow I will do the same, to try and take a good result for us.
"I am sure if I keep going, if I continue to do my work, maybe good things come in the future.
"But for me the most important thing is always the next day, the next training session, the next match."
Silva’s men currently sit eighth in the league after their assertive 3-0 victory against Newcastle at the weekend.
The Portuguese took over at Watford in May of this year having failed to keep Hull City in the Premier League. Silva has spent just 10 months in England but has already earned wide praise for his style of management.
