Mohamed Salah takes heed of Erling Haaland's Arsenal advice as Liverpool stays focused
Mohamed Salah said it is important that Liverpool stays humble during the title run-in after the Reds moved a step closer to winning the Premier League over the weekend.
On paper, Liverpool was facing a tricky game away to high-flying Bournemouth — a team that hadn't tasted defeat in the league since November — but Salah and Co. produced a professional performance to emerge as 2-0 victors.
Salah scored both goals in the game and said afterwards that the squad must stay grounded, having also been in a promising position to win the league last season but failing to get over the line.

"Yeah, I think [it feels] slightly different but last season we were also very close," Salah said. "As I've said before, we need to stay humble and just take it each game at a time.
"Focus on each game. We don't have to think further. Scoring goals and the team winning is an incredible feeling. I've said it many times before that my main target this season is to win the Premier League with the team. We are going in the right direction so hopefully we can keep going like this."
Manchester City striker Erling Haaland famously told Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta to "stay humble" earlier on in the season, a moment that many soccer fans have since joked triggered the start of City's downfall.
City vs Arsenal is emerging as the new grudge rivalry in the Premier League, and the two teams faced off for the first time since Haaland's comments on Sunday, with the Gunners emerging as emphatic 5-1 victors.
Haaland was teased by several Arsenal players during the match, with Gabriel Magalhaes celebrating in his face after one of the home team's goals, and Myles Lewis-Skelly mimicking the Norwegian's meditation celebration after scoring.
