Ole Gunnar Solskjaer transfer U-turn could help Manchester United complete late deal
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Besiktas are, reportedly, interested in signing Manchester United midfielder Casemiro as Turkish clubs continue to do business this winter.
The Brazil midfielder has made only four appearances in the Premier League since Ruben Amorim arrived at the club in November. During the January transfer window, he was heavily linked with a switch to Saudi Arabia with Cristiano Ronaldo, reportedly, telling Al-Nassr management to snap-up his former teammate.
However, Al-Nassr decided to spend their money on now-former Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran instead, leaving Casemiro searching for a new opportunity. Most divisions in Europe have seen their windows shut - so the Brazil international is looking head on at the possibility of sitting on the substitutes bench until next summer.

The Turkish transfer window remains open until February 11 and, according to Fotomac, Besiktas would be keen on bringing Casemiro to their club. As United's current highest earner, Casemiro is likely to be a target to be moved on but it remains to be seen if he will choose to move to Turkey.
Solskjaer was directly asked if he would be interested in signing Casemiro or Marcus Rashford in January and his response left little doubt. "I've come from Manchester United, so there will be transfer news like this," said the ex-United manager and striker.
"Casemiro and Rashford are very good players, but I haven't had any contact with them. I enjoyed my time at Manchester United.
"That chapter is closed. I'm looking forward to working at Besiktas now."
While that was likely to have been the stance then, it is not beyond the realms of possibility that things have changed especially with options dwindling for Casemiro. If the 75-cap Brazilian was to move to Besiktas before Turkey's cut-off, he could possibly make his debut away at Sivasspor this forthcoming Saturday afternoon (4pm).
