PSV boss makes 'remarkable' Liverpool claim and outlines big Arne Slot change
PSV boss Peter Bosz is relishing the chance to take on Arne Slot once again after beating the Liverpool head coach to the Eredivisie title last season before the Dutchman moved to the Premier League.
Both Liverpool and PSV require a point to achieve their final European aims; a draw would ensure the Dutch giant is in the top 24 spots and makes the last-32, while it would also mean the Reds beating Barcelona to top spot in the group phase. And Bosz has been impressed with how well Slot has taken to life at Anfield.
"Definitely," Bosz replied during his pre-match press conference if he has watched much of Liverpool this season. "As a fan, I watch them more often than many other teams. They play very nice football. Arne Slot is doing particularly well.

"Going to another country is already a challenge, but going to a top club is even more difficult. I find it remarkable that Liverpool made few big purchases and that they just went with the existing group. That may also have been an advantage."
In his final season in the Netherlands, Slot won, drew and lost with PSV, beating it on the way to winning the Dutch cup. And Bosz was asked if he had "cracked Slot's code".
"Last year we did, then we won at one point," Bosz continued. "But now it remains to be seen. I see comparisons between his Liverpool and his Feyenoord of last year when I look at his fielding.
"Letting the striker drop out, wanting to create overloads in midfield, letting the goalkeeper build up with him, these are all things he did at Feyenoord as well. The difference is that he does have better players with this Liverpool, of course."
"Above all, it's a great opportunity to show what we can do," star forward and USMNT talent Ricardo Pepi, who has scored 16 goals this season, said. "It's a big test, but we have a great team and the qualities and resilience to get a result, no matter how difficult.
"[Virgil van Dijk] is a great player, so it will be a challenge. That goes for their entire selection, by the way. They are all top players with an incredible winner's mentality."
Liverpool.com says: Given a draw is a good result for both teams, that seems like a logical ending. Most of the eyes will be elsewhere on a night of potential drama with all 32 teams in action at once.
