Three touchdowns puts Aaron Jones 'in the MVP race'
The Green Bay Packers moved to 8-2 for the season with a 24-16 win over the Carolina Panthers at the weekend.
Key to their win was running-back Aaron Jones, who impressed yet again, scoring three rushing touchdowns for the second time this campaign.
Jones now leads the league, with 14 touchdowns for the season, having passed Panthers’ Christian McCaffrey in yesterday’s game.

Speaking after the game, Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers even threw his teammate into the MVP conversation. He said: “Well, I know Christian (McCaffrey) is a very talented player, and he’s been mentioned in the MVP race, so maybe it’s time to start talking about Aaron Jones.”
Jones managed a touchdown each in the first, second and third quarters, to combine for 93 rushing yards in total.
His performances over the season have been a huge factor in the Packers topping the NFC North, while the Panthers (5-4) are second behind the Saints (7-2) in the NFC South.
