Here are your Cardiff City headlines for Tuesday, January 28.

Ajax chief: Mannsverk needs 'significant playing time'

Ajax technical director Alex Kroes has wished new Cardiff signing Sivert Mannsverk luck following his move to the Welsh capital and hopes the midfielder gets "significant playing time" under his belt this term.

Cardiff today announced the 22-year-old had signed on loan from the Dutch giants, making him the second arrival this month following the capture of striker Yousef Salech.

Mannsverk's game-time has been hard to come by this season, having played just two Eredivisie games this term. The Norwegian will face competition for a starting berth in Wales, too, with Joe Ralls, Calum Chambers, Manolis Siopis and Alex Robertson all vying for minutes in the middle of the park.

Following the move, Kroes said: "Sivert has been sidelined for an extended period due to injury and has therefore had limited playing opportunities with us. On top of that, he faces strong competition in his position. It’s in everyone's best interest for him to get significant playing time in the coming period.

"At Cardiff, that opportunity is available, making this temporary move a good solution for all parties at this time. We wish Sivert the best of luck."

Bulut offered new job

Erol Bulut has been offered a new job in the Turkish Super Lig, according to reports.

Kayserispor are looking for a new manager after dismissing Sinan Kaloğlu. And Turkish outlet Milliyet claim that Bulut and former Alanyaspor boss Fatih Tekke were offered the job.

They also claim that both Tekke and Bulut have turned down the opportunity, with former Ukraine defender Oleksandr Kucher and former Kayserispor boss Tolunay Kafkas now in the running.

Bulut, who was interviewed for the position, said: "I would accept if it was the beginning of the season, but I can't right now."

Bulut has been out of work for four months following his dismissal from Cardiff City back in September.

Duo lined up for exits

Cardiff forwards Kion Etete and Michael Reindorf have been lined up for moves away from the club.

It is understood that both strikers have been the subject of loan interest throughout the January window and Omer Riza has been keen to get them both out in order for them to gain minutes and for him to make room in his squad.

Wilfried Kanga departed earlier this month, but with the signing of Yousef Salech, the recall of Roko Simic and the return of Isaak Davies imminent, the balance of the squad must be addressed before Monday's deadline. Sign up to our daily Cardiff City newsletter here.

League One outfit Bolton Wanderers are leading the race to sign Etete, while League Two play-off contenders Notts County are said to be keen on Reindorf.

Cardiff also hope Jamilu Collins can find a new home before the window shuts, however they are yet to receive concrete offers for the Nigeria international despite initial interest from clubs abroad.
