Tottenham set for £17m deadline day battle with Barcelona for teenage star Lucas Bergvall
Tottenham remain in the race for £17million-rated Djurgardens youngster Lucas Bergvall, who is deciding between the north Londoners and Barcelona ahead of transfer deadline day.
The 17-year-old midfielder visited Spurs training ground on Monday but is now in Barcelona before making his final decision.
It’s unclear which club the one-time Sweden international will pick, as he makes his final decision before completing a move on deadline day tomorrow.
Bergvall has followed a similar pathway to Spurs winger Dejan Kulusevski, spending his youth career with IF Brommapojkarna before moving to Djurgardens, a bigger club in the capital of Stockholm.

Eintracht Frankfurt were also interested but are considered out of the race.
Bergvall has played the majority of his 34 senior matches in midfield. At 14, he previously went on trial with Manchester United.
Spurs have been the biggest spenders in the Premier League this January, signing defender Radu Dragusin from Genoa for £26.7m and bringing in Timo Werner on loan from RB Leipzig.
