Triple fitness boost for Crystal Palace as Oliver Glasner confirms Eberechi Eze will face Tottenham

Crystal Palace have been boosted by three players being passed fit to face Tottenham this weekend.

As Standard Sport reported earlier this week, Eberechi Eze will make his return to the squad after over a month out with a hamstring injury.

Joachim Andersen is also available having been taken off as a precaution in the win over Burnley, as is Will Hughes.

Glasner told reporters on Friday: “Will and [Eze] had every training session all week, they are back in the squad for tomorrow and the same for Joachim.

“That was just the 90th minute, 3-0 up, he felt a little bit so it was just to avoid an injury. He’s also trained the whole week and that’s good for us.”

Palace hope to have Marc Guehi back before the end of the season after he underwent surgery on a knee problem.

After victory in his debut, Glasner’s team sit eight points clear of the dropzone ahead of a trip to fifth-placed Spurs. And the new manager is keen not to put too much reliance on the returning Eze.

He continued: “I’m always happy when the players are fit and available, he’s a great player for us.

“But it’s also important that Will is back, he’s an experienced player and it gives us more opportunities in the game. Eze cannot win the game for us alone, he needs all his teammates.

“As a team I think we’re in a good shape with good confidence, I’m very happy with the training sessions this week and we’ll need every player to succeed at Tottenham.”
