After a slight stutter in midweek, a refreshed-looking Liverpool side returns to Premier League action on Saturday with a trip to Bournemouth.

It’s a meeting of the two most in-form sides in the division, with the Cherries unbeaten since November while Arne Slot’s side has lost in the Premier League just once this season.

Liverpool heads into the game in first place, six points ahead of its nearest rivals and has played a game fewer than the chasing pack. As for Bournemouth, it sits seventh in the table but just a point off the Champions League spots, a prospect which is becoming increasingly realistic for the south-coast club.

Andoni Iraola’s side has also scored nine in the last two against Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest and it’s no surprise Slot spoke so highly of his opposite number ahead of the game.

Liverpool could have just one absentee when it travels to the south coast, with Arne Slot revealing in his pre-match press conference that Joe Gomez, Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez trained on Friday. Curtis Jones remains ruled out, however.
