Darwin Nunez withdrew from Liverpool's squad for the Champions League game against PSV Eindhoven due to illness.

Nunez would almost certainly have started the match in the Netherlands, with Liverpool having already secured top spot in the Champions League, but his absence means Jayden Danns starts at the tip of the Reds' attack.

Arne Slot has named a much-changed team for the game in Eindhoven, with a mix of fringe players and youngsters being handed chances from the start.

Only Andy Robertson and Cody Gakpo keep their places from the side that started against Ipswich on Saturday, and Robertson captains the team tonight.

Robertson is joined in the starting line-up by fellow left-back Kostas Tsimikas, which suggests Robertson will operate as a left-sided center-back at the Phillips Stadion.

Conor Bradley and Jarell Quansah make up Liverpool's defense in front of goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher, who is appearing in the Champions League for the first time since November's 2-0 victory over Real Madrid.

Wataru Endo anchors the midfield and is joined in a trio by James McConnell and Elliott, while Federico Chiesa makes just his second start of the season on the right wing. Gakpo will operate off the opposite flank against his former club, with Danns through the middle.

Tonight's match is effectively a dead rubber for the Reds, so it is understandable that there are no experienced players on the bench, with goalkeeper Viteszlav Jaros the oldest substitute at 23 years old.

Liverpool starting XI: Kelleher; Bradley, Quansah, Robertson, Tsimikas; Elliott, Endo, McConnell; Chiesa, Danns, Gakpo. Subs: Jaros, Davies, Kone-Doherty, Mabaya, Nallo, Morrison, Norris, Morton, Nyoni.
