When is FA Cup fifth-round draw? Man Utd, Man City & Newcastle among possible Liverpool opponents
Liverpool will be aiming to continue its impressive cup form this season when it travels to Plymouth Argyle. The Reds are still alive in three competitions at the start of February, in addition to the Premier League.
Champions League passage to the last-16 was confirmed last week, while Liverpool easily dispatched Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday to set up a Carabao Cup final appearance against Newcastle United next month.
Next up is the FA Cup and the 400-mile round trip to Devon. Should Liverpool overcome the side currently sitting bottom of the Championship it will set up a fifth-round FA Cup tie. But when is the draw and who could Liverpool face? We have all the details below.

When will the FA Cup draw be made?
The FA Cup fifth-round draw will take place on Monday during the One Show on BBC One. The programme begins at 19:00 GMT (14:00 ET) with the draw expected to be made around 10 minutes into the live show. Former England international Theo Walcott will draw the names of the hat, although none of his former clubs - Southampton, Arsenal and Everton - will be involved.
When will the fifth-round games be played?
The FA Cup fifth-round games will be played over the weekend of 1 March, although the exact dates are not confirmed and the FA have developed a habit of spreading fixtures over multiple days. The fourth round has been played over five days this year.
There’s less wriggle room for Liverpool, who hosts Newcastle on Wednesday 26 February and will be in Champions League action on 4/5 March. It means an FA Cup tie - should the Reds eliminate Plymouth - must be played on 1 or 2 March.
Teams already in the hat
Manchester United was the first team to secure passage to the last-16 of the competition when it eliminated Leicester City in controversial circumstances on Friday night, with Harry Maguire’s late winner clearly offside.
Manchester City then joined its local rivals with a comeback win over Leyton Orient on Saturday. Bournemouth dumped out Everton a few hours later, Newcastle eliminated Birmingham City, while Brighton & Hove Albion beat Chelsea to move into the next round.
Fulham, Ipswich Town, Burnley, Millwall, Preston North End and Cardiff City are also safely into the fifth round.
Remaining fourth-round fixtures
There are five games remaining the FA Cup fourth round:
Blackburn Rovers vs Wolverhampton Wanderers
Plymouth Argyle vs Liverpool
Aston Villa vs Tottenham Hotspur
Doncaster Rovers vs Crystal Palace (Monday)
Exeter City vs Nottingham Forest (Tuesday)
