ITV issues immediate apology over FA Cup interview as Liverpool crashes out
ITV presenter Mark Pougatch was forced to apologize to viewers in the aftermath of Liverpool's FA Cup defeat to Plymouth Argyle.
Nikola Katić was outstanding for the Pilgrims, who claimed a 1-0 victory at Home Park thanks to Ryan Hardie's second-half penalty. And the Bosnian defender let his emotions get the better of him as he spoke to interviewer Gabriel Clarke after the game, saying: "I f------ love it, I f------ love it. That's why I came here."
Host Pougatch quickly apologized for the 28-year-old's foul language. He said: "Sorry about the industrial language. Sometimes in the heat of the moment, it all gets too much."

Man of the match Katic, who appeared to lose a tooth in a first-half collision with a teammate, added: "We did [it] good with the defensive structure and everybody gave their 100 per cent. We did what the coach asked from us. That is it."
The Reds were unable to break down the most porous defense in the EFL as they were knocked out in the fourth round. Arne Slot's decision to rest key players including Mo Salah backfired, with Plymouth holding firm and staying in the game.
And they were gifted the chance to go ahead shortly after half time when Harvey Elliott was penalized for handball with his arms raised above his head. Hardie stepped up and converted the chance from 12 yards.
But there was still more than half an hour to play and Liverpool can have no excuses over this dismal cup exit. Chances were spurned and Argyle goalkeeper Conor Hazard made a series of fine saves to secure one of the finest results in Plymouth's history.
Slot has a job on his hands to get the Reds back on track when they travel to Goodison Park for the final time on Wednesday for a rearranged Premier League clash.
Of course, he will have the returning Salah and Virgil van Dijk to call on among others, but a defeat to a team that is bottom of the Championship having conceded a staggering 63 league goals this term is a significant speed bump in Liverpool's campaign.

"The result is obvious, a big disappointment," Slot said "[The] way we played, not a lot to be happy about. The boys kept fighting for 100 minutes. They kept fighting but credit to Plymouth, a good gameplan, worked hard and it was a clear penalty, correct decision."
Slot insisted he had no regrets over his team selection. "No because we've seen a few times already, it's a playing style that is difficult," he said. "I think today showed why we played with who we used, they need momentum to be ready for the upcoming months. We saw it today."
