Man Utd star Alejandro Garnacho sends five-word message amid Chelsea transfer deadline day links
Manchester United star Alejandro Garnacho has dropped a huge hint that he intends to stay at the club beyond the January transfer window despite being strongly linked with a January move away.
Garnacho was reportedly a target for both Chelsea and Napoli throughout the winter window. MEN Sport understands a £40m bid from the Naples club was rejected this month with a fee of around £60m wanted by United.
Antonio Conte's side's pursuit of the 19-year-old has gone quiet in recent weeks with Garnacho starting to cement his place in Ruben Amorim's team. Napoli had identified alternatives in Borussia Dortmund's Karim Adeyemi and Anderlecht's Francis Amuzu but are said to be close to the signing of Allan Saint-Maximin.

With the January transfer window reaching its conclusion and no move close to being completed, Garnacho looks set to stay at the club for the rest of the season. On Monday, the Argentine posted an Instagram story with a message to the fans which indicates he isn't going anywhere.
"We will try again Friday," he wrote alongside an image of him looking dejected during Sunday's loss to Crystal Palace. United welcome Ruud van Nistelrooy's Leicester City to Old Trafford on Friday night in the FA Cup fourth round.
Garnacho staying put will be great news for Amorim. Antony and Marcus Rashford have both left the club on temporary moves meaning the options in attack are considerably short.
