Ruben Amorim has selected a 21-man squad for Manchester United's clash with FCSB in Romania on Thursday night.

Luke Shaw featured in Wednesday morning's open training session at Carrington, taking another progressive step in his recovery from a recent muscle injury. He completed the full session but it has been deemed too soon for him to be in contention to return to action.

The left-back has made just three appearances this season, all via the bench, and has not started for United since they beat Luton Town 2-1 at Kenilworth Road in February last year.

Elsewhere, Marcus Rashford has also been omitted from the squad for the 11th time in 12 matches. He also trained on Wednesday morning but continues to be overlooked by head coach Amorim. Rashford could leave Old Trafford before Monday evening's 11pm transfer deadline.

United will be eyeing a third successive victory in all competitions in Bucharest - something they have yet to do under Amorim. The Reds defeated Fulham 1-0 at Craven Cottage on Sunday evening following their 2-1 win over Rangers in the Europa League.

United are currently fourth in the league phase table, two points clear of ninth-placed Galatasaray, meaning a win will guarantee qualification. The top eight will automatically progress to the round-of-16.
