Manchester United face another strange kick-off time when they travel to Leicester City for the Premier League encounter in March.

This weekend, the Reds will travel to Fulham's Craven Cottage for a 7pm kick-off in the Premier League. Such a start time is often used sparingly by the top flight due to it being unsociable for supporters.

However, the Premier League's hand was marginally forced when TNT Sports picked this match for television coverage. Normally, TNT's matches are played on Saturday lunchtime but this was not available for United as they played Rangers in the Europa League on Thursday.

Lunchtime on Sunday was also considered too soon after the European match and the 2pm and 4:30pm kick-offs were off the table as these were reserved for Sky Sports' Super Sunday coverage. Therefore, the only remaining slot was 7pm this Sunday.

Sadly for United fans, this is not the last they will see of the 7pm Sunday slot this season, as it shall rear its head again on March 16 when Ruben Amorim's side face Ruud van Nistelrooy's Foxes. A Premier League statement confirmed the match has been chosen as part of Sky Sports' Super Sunday coverage but will be played on the same day as the Carabao Cup final.

The League Cup showpiece is often played in the afternoon, so United's game has been bumped to 7pm so that Sky Sports can broadcast that game as well as the clash between Chelsea and Arsenal, which has been given a provisional 1:30pm kick-off. This game will be postponed if the Gunners reach the League Cup final, but they would need to overturn a 2-0 deficit at Newcastle for that scenario to occur.

Should Mikel Arteta's side complete the turnaround, there may be scope for United's game to be moved earlier, but that remains to be seen. The Reds will also be broadcast live on Sunday, March 9, when they host Arsenal in a 4:30pm kick-off on Sky Sports.
