Manchester United have the perfect chance to fix £72m problem - it could kickstart his revival
Rasmus Hojlund could kickstart his season on Thursday when Manchester United travel to FCSB in Romania in the Europa League.
This time last year, Hojlund became the youngest player to score in six consecutive Premier League games, winning him the February Player of the Month.
The 21-year-old - now wearing the no.9 - is on an 11-game goal drought, but has scored five goals in seven appearances in Europe this term. He scored in the 3-3 draw at Porto, as well as braces at home to Bodo/Glimt and away to Viktoria Plzen.

Equally, he had a good scoring record in the Champions League last season with five goals in six appearances despite the Reds’ surprising group-stage elimination.
Hojlund is now one of three players alongside Wayne Rooney and Marcus Rashford who has scored nine goals in Europe aged 21 years or below.
His playing style seems to suit European club tournament football because it can be less physical compared to English football.
He has the physique, he just needs to know how to use it effectively, particularly to improve his hold-up play. It has been a different story domestically this campaign with just two goals in 18 appearances in the Premier League.
This is a significant decline from his first season in England when he averaged a goal in every three league appearances - respectable for his age.
He had to wait until Boxing Day 2023 for his first Premier League goal before the goals began to flow. The £72m price tag is not his fault because he had only scored 27 career goals when United signed him.
United needed a Harry Kane-style signing in the summer of 2023 to relieve the pressure on Hojlund at his age. Like Erling Haaland - who broke the Premier League goalscoring record for a single season - Hojlund is Scandinavian and shares a similar surname, adding further pressure.
He will continue to get opportunities because of the departures of Mason Greenwood and Anthony Martial last summer, and the uncertain future of Marcus Rashford.
Summer signing Joshua Zirkzee has also struggled since joining from Bologna, and has scored just four goals in all competitions. United could finish as high as second in the league phase of the Europa League depending on results on Thursday.
