Patrick Dorgu to Man United transfer latest as six-word message sent and decision made
Patrick Dorgu is set to become Manchester United's first signing of the Ruben Amorim era. The defender will sign for a reported £31.4million fee and offer competition to Luke Shaw, with Tyrell Malacia potentially set to depart before Monday's deadline.
The Dane should suit Amorim's 3-4-3 system, having played as a wing-back at Lecce. Dorgu has made 23 appearances across all competitions for the Serie A club this season, scoring three goals and providing an assist. He has also made four appearances for Denmark, scoring once.
Amorim will now hope Dorgu can help his current team become more suited to how he wants them to play at M16. Below are all the latest details on his move to Old Trafford.

Here's the latest on Dorgu's move and everything that has been said by and about the player...
Medical delayed
Dorgu's medical was postponed a few days ago. Initially, he was due to arrive in the North West on Thursday, but the delay occurred as the necessary paperwork and contracts were not finalised in time for the initial test.
Included in Lecce squad
Despite the swirling rumours of a potential move to United, Dorgu was named in Lecce's squad for their crucial relegation clash against Parma on Friday evening.
The 20-year-old was keen to at least be involved - whether to be from the start or the bench - so he could help Lecce in a huge clash down the bottom of the Italian top-flight table. However, he was left on the bench as they won 3-1.
Six-word message
The Danish international was spotted at an Italian airport this morning (Saturday), ready to jet off to Manchester and finalise his move to Old Trafford before the 11pm transfer deadline on Monday night. When quizzed by Sky Italy about his feelings towards the impending switch to United, Dorgu responded: "it is an opportunity for me."
When he can play
United will need to have their new signing registered by midday on the day before their next match. However, with Dorgu arriving in the country on Saturday, it seems unlikely that everything will be sorted before noon.
As a result, the Danish international is expected to make his debut in the FA Cup when United host their fourth-round tie against Ruud van Nistelrooy's Leicester City on Friday night. This could also see Dorgu playing alongside his international teammates Jannick Vestergaard, Mads Hermansen and Victor Kristiansen, as well as potentially lining up with Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Hojlund for United.
