Plymouth Argyle goalkeeper Conor Hazard put in a sensational performance against Liverpool, helping his side hold firm in a tense FA Cup clash - and even had time for a Roy Keane soundbite afterwards.

Hazard pulled off several crucial saves as the Green Army secured a stunning 1-0 victory over the Premier League leaders to knock them out in the fourth round of the competition. Ryan Hardie gave Plymouth the lead in the second half, confidently converting a penalty after Harvey Elliott's handball. Despite the Reds introducing Darwin Nunez, they couldn't alter the outcome of the match.

The Northern Ireland international helped end Liverpool’s quadruple hopes and his post match comments will have caught the eye of Manchester United legend Keane.

Speaking to ITV, the 26-year-old said: "What an atmosphere. It was always going to be tough against Liverpool but the boys were brilliant today."

It was when he was asked about his save to deny Diogo Jota, Hazard uttered Keanes famous phrase. "At the end of the day, it is my job. So I am delighted with that" added the goalkeeper.

Keane has made the phrase his slogan in recent years, having famously aimed criticism at the likes of David de Gea, refusing to congratulate them for making saves.

Hazard also heaped praise on his defender Nikola Katic. The defender who joined the Green Army during the January transfer window, lost a tooth during a first-half collision with a teammate and was instrumental in the win making 17 clearances.

Katic used to be a derby day rival for Hazard who was at Celtic while the defender was at Rangers. When asked about Hazard's performance, Katic joked: "At first when I came here I hated him because he's a Celtic guy and I'm a big Rangers guy. But at the moment we are good and I like to play with him, he gave us this win today."

Hazard responded with: "What a performance from him. He has made such a massive difference since coming in and we are lucky to have him."
