PSV team vs Liverpool predicted as six missing for clash with Arne Slot's kids
Liverpool has showed its hand ahead of the PSV game, with Arne Slot naming a travelling squad packed full of youngsters and fringe players. But how might the Dutch side line up?
The importance of the game could hardly be more contrasting for the two sides. Slot conceded in the build-up that finishing first or second in the Champions League table makes no difference to him, making this a dead rubber from Liverpool's perspective — but PSV still needs a result.
It held on for a crucial win with 10 men during the last match, moving up to 11 points, ahead of the likes of Manchester City and PSG. That should book a spot in the play-offs, but an unlikely sequence of results could still see qualification slip away, as coach Peter Bosz warned in the lead-up.

Bosz has pledged to go for "at least one point" to make safe the qualification. And unlike Liverpool, there is an incentive for PSV to finish as high up as possible, to ensure a more favorable seeding (first vs second makes no difference, as Slot rightly pointed out, but the Dutch side has the chance to climb multiple places).
As such, we can expect PSV to go as strong as possible with its line-up, despite being in the middle of a tense title race of its own (pursued by Jordan Henderson's Ajax). However, injuries and suspensions will take their toll.
First and foremost, Ryan Flamingo will miss the game, having been shown a red card against Crvena Zvezda last time out. The defender didn't have a leg to stand on after being dismissed for a last-man challenge, and will be suspended for Liverpool's visit.
In the treatment room, Sergino Dest has been out since last April with a cruciate ligament tear. He is thought to be nearing a return at last, but will play no part against Liverpool.
He's joined by exciting talent Malik TIllman, signed in the summer from Bayern Munich. Center-back Adamo Nagalo and winger Couhaib Driouech will also miss out.
Meanwhile, Ivan Perisic has been a surprisingly prominent feature for PSV in the Eredivisie, at the ripe old age of 35 and having joined from boyhood club Hadjuk Split. But he is not registered in the Champions League squad, and will only be able to feature if the Dutch side advances to the next stage.
In spite of these absentees, Bosz will be able to field a strong side. One name familiar to Premier League fans will be Luuk de Jong, who had an ill-fated loan stint with Newcastle in 2014.
Since then, though, De Jong has gone from strength to strength. Back in the Netherlands after a spell at Sevilla and an unlikely loan to Barcelona, he netted a brace in the previous Champions League fixture.
He's backed by an exciting supporting cast that includes Dutch talent Noa Lang, and Liverpool-linked Johan Bakayoko. Elsewhere in the side, Jerdy Schouten and Walter Benitez provide plenty of experience.
Liverpool still has a fair chance of a result, with Darwin Nunez, Federico Chiesa, Cody Gakpo, Harvey Elliott, Wataru Endo, Kostas Tsimikas, Andy Robertson, Conor Bradley and Jarell Quansah all travelling — it is not a completely inexperienced outfit by any means. But it can expect a stern test from a strong PSV side, as Slot will know very well from his time in the Netherlands.
Predicted PSV line-up vs Liverpool: Benitez; Ledezma, Dams, Boscagli, Junior; Veerman, Schouten; Bakayoko, Til, Lang; De Jong.
