Swansea City agree deal for highly-rated midfielder - but there's a catch
Swansea City have agreed a fee for Swedish under-21 international Melker Widell, WalesOnline understands.
However, the 22-year-old is set to be loaned back to current side Aalborg as part of the agreement taking him to south Wales.
Widell has been on the radar of the Swans for some time, having been identified as a target before the opening of the January transfer window, and insiders believe he's an exciting prospect for the future, having emerged as a key player for current side Aalborg.

It's understood the Danish club had been hugely reluctant to sanction a sale in this window, and would only agree to a deal providing he was immediately sent back to them for the rest of the season. Sign up to our Swansea City newsletter here.
Aware of growing interest from across Europe in the midfielder, who was also linked with the Premier League, the Swans have decided to act now rather than wait to make a fresh approach in the summer.
Put simply, the feeling among insiders at Swansea is that agreeing to Aalborg's demand to loan him back was the best possible option in ensuring they landed him ahead of increasingly fierce competition.
Early reports have suggested the fee will be around €5m, although sources in Denmark have suggested those estimates are perhaps a little high. Nevertheless, it is likely to be a substantial fee.
Widell is currently away with his team-mates at a training camp in Marbella, and it's understood there are still some details to be sorted in regards to personal terms.
However, there's a growing expectation that he will complete a move to south Wales.

In a statement confirming the agreement to the Copenhagen Stock Exchange, the club said: "Aalborg Boldspilklub A/S has reached an agreement with a foreign club regarding the transfer of vice-captain Melker Widell. At the same time, all parties agree that Melker Widell will continue on loan at AaB for the rest of the current season."
Having already taken Burnley's Hannes Delcroix on loan, Swansea are still hoping to make several more additions before the close of the window, particularly in light of captain Matt Grimes' departure.
The Swans have agreed a fee for the 29-year-old, believed to be around £3.5m to £4m, and a deal is expected to be completed in the next few days.
