Swansea City officials receive death threats as urgent meeting called for
The Swansea City Supporters' Trust has hit out at 'unacceptable' abuse and death threats aimed at members of staff at Swansea City.
The trust has called on the club to set up a fans' forum, amid ongoing concerns around the January transfer window, and indeed the club's fortunes on the pitch.
Swansea have so far endured a horrific start to 2025, taking just one point from a possible 15 since the turn of the year, a run that has seen them slip to 17th in the table.

In a statement, the trust acknowledged the difficulties facing the club both on and off the pitch in recent weeks, but said that some of the anger had recently crossed over beyond the realms of acceptability. Sign up to our Swansea City newsletter here.
"We are very aware of a number of personal attacks, vile insults and even death threats that have recently been directed towards many people involved with Swansea City, including their families," the statement read.
"We accept and understand that scrutiny and criticism come with whatever roles we play to try and make Swansea City FC something we can all be proud of.
"Passions are obviously running high at present and sometimes we may not get it right. But to hear and receive some of what has come into the club and the Trust over the past few days is unacceptable, will not be tolerated and has absolutely no place in society."
Swansea have signed just one player in this January window, and look set to lose skipper Matt Grimes to Coventry City, who submitted a third bid on Tuesday afternoon.
The trust says the club's hierarchy need to do more to better communicate with fans, and say they are pushing for the Swans to host another fans' forum following the close of the transfer window.
"Club chairman Andy Coleman and the new ownership group have stressed their commitment to repairing the bond between the club and the fans, emphasising transparency and open dialogue as central to that process," the statement added.
"In our dealings with Andy Coleman and the wider board, we have no doubt that they genuinely believe in these principles. However, despite our repeated calls for a fans' forum over the past few months, we have been left disappointed by the lack of progress. As an organisation, we wholeheartedly believe that all fans should be given the opportunity to regularly hold decision-makers to account and scrutinise the strategy implemented by the board.
"That’s why we have again urged the club to fulfil their responsibility to supporters by confirming a date for a fans' forum – ideally as soon as possible after the end of the current transfer window that closes next Monday 3rd February.

"Going forward, we are calling on the club to commit to holding at least two fans' forums every season, with those dates agreed at the start of the season and honoured without fail.
"Without this, many fans will justifiably conclude that the club only believes in openness and transparency when the results are going our way.
"If Swansea City is to be successful, we need more open communication, a clearer strategy and a willingness to provide transparency when we need it most. That way we can perhaps begin to feel that the club and the fans are once again pulling in the same direction.
"In the meantime, we will continue our conversations with the club and will reveal more details about a fans' forum when we have them."
