Tosin Adarabioyo confirms transfer after passing Chelsea medical in message to Fulham fans

Tosin Adarabioyo says he will “always fondly” remember his time at Fulham ahead of his free transfer to Chelsea.

The centre-back rejected multiple new contract offers in order to leave Fulham this summer as a free agent.

Newcastle entered talks with him, while Manchester United were also admirers, but Chelsea are understood to have offered better personal conditions than Newcastle and won the race to his signature.

He has since passed a medical before becoming the first signing of the Enzo Maresca era at Stamford Bridge.

Adarabioyo, 26, who joined Fulham from Manchester City in 2020, posted a statement on social media on Thursday, thanking Fulham fans and the club.

He said: “As a new chapter awaits, I’d just like to thank everyone at Fulham Football Club for the last four years.

“Together with the manager, staff, my teammates and supporters, we made some great memories that I’ll always hold fondly. I wish you all the best in the future.”
