Their national team has qualified for the Copa America and will return to action a week today when they face Panama. Ahead of the tournament, their experienced manager, Marcelo Bielsa, has decided to reintegrate Suarez into the national team.

Suarez was called up for the two World Cup qualifiers against Argentina and Bolivia in November last year but has not featured in any of Uruguay's matches this year. In his absence, Nunez has taken on the mantle of wearing the coveted No.9 shirt for his country.

During that time, Suarez became one of the more popular figures in the Liverpool dressing room, scoring 82 goals in just 133 appearances. Such form caught the attention of Barcelona, who signed him in July 2014.

Now in the twilight of his career, Suarez represents David Beckham's Inter Miami in the MLS. The Herons have established a Barcelona tribute team with Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba on the books.

Before heading to Copa America, Suarez has been in great form, bagging 14 goals and seven assists in 20 appearances.
