Timelapse Shows Wildfire Smoke Blanket Central Alaska as Air Quality Drops

Wildfire smoke in central Alaska continued to impact air quality in the region on Wednesday, August 9, local authorities said.

Timelapse footage posted by the National Weather Service shows wildfire smoke blanket Fairbanks on Tuesday.

On Tuesday morning, members of the Alaska National Guard were deployed to the interior part of the state to help fight the ongoing wildfires, officials said.
