Michal Neuvirth misses save on bouncing Jarome Iginla shot attempt (Video)

Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Michal Neuvirth has been one of the top under-the-radar acquisitions this season.

The 27-year-old netminder came into Philly’s Tuesday game against the Colorado Avalanche pushing Steve Mason for the starting job with a 1.81 goal-against average and .945 save percentage.

But even the hottest of goaltenders are prone to a soft goal.

Above is a goal by Jarome Iginla that Neuvirth would probably like to have back. It looked like Iginla actually missed the shot attempt, but changed the trajectory of the puck enough for it to bounce through Neuvirth.

The Flyers lost the game 4-0 against the Avalanche and fell to 5-7-3 on the season. Overall they've been outscored 43-28. Neuvirth ended up stopping 36 of 40 Colorado shots on goal.

Colorado forward Matt Duchene scored two goals and added an assist in the Avs' win.
