Patrick Marleau would accept trade to Ducks, Kings or Rangers: Report
Is San Jose Sharks forward Patrick Marleau on the trading block?
According to CSN Bay Area, Marleau would accept a trade to one of three teams – the Anaheim Ducks, Los Angeles Kings (both Pacific Division rivals) or the New York Rangers. Marleau has a no trade clause.

Last weekend, Sportnet’s Elliotte Friedman reported Marleau’s name was “out there” as far as tradable assets at this early juncture of the 2015-16 season.
Per CSN Bay Area:
It’s unclear at this time whether Marleau, who has a no-trade clause, is pushing for the move, or whether the team initiated it. Marleau, who is in the second of a three-year, $20 million contract, does not have an agent.
Following the CSN Bay Area report, TSN's Darren Dreger tweeted that during training camp Marleau had enlisted CAA's Pat Brisson as representation.
In the past, San Jose GM Doug Wilson has said that a player would have to “come to me” to waive a no-trade or no-movement clause. The below quote is in regards to Marleau and Joe Thornton from around last year's trade deadline.
“The integrity of building that type of contract with those types of players, they would have to come to me. I’ve been very transparent on where this team is at, and where it’s going. They have a clause that’s in their contract, and I at no point have ever asked either one of them.”
Marleau, 36, was selected by the Sharks with the No. 2 overall pick in the 1997 NHL Draft. He’s the franchise’s all-time leader in points with 997 in 1,343 games played.
The Sharks are currently 7-7-0, but have missed center Logan Couture (broken fibula) for all but three games. With Couture in the lineup, San Jose was 3-0-0 and outscored their opponent 12-1. Couture has been out since he was injured in practice on Oct. 15. He was slated to return to the lineup four-to-six weeks.
