On tap today:

Tonight will be the last chance to watch gymnastics as the Olympics begin to wind down. Also in action will be U.S. women’s basketball, and Kerri Walsh Jennings continuing her fight to become a four-time Olympic champion.

Morning slots:

The day starts on NBC at 8:00 a.m. ET at Olympic Stadium where men’s triple jump is in its gold medal round. American Christian Taylor will be in the field, defending the gold medal he won in 2012. NBC will stay at the track for the final of the women’s discus, and then transition to the gold medal finals of flatwater canoe/kayak.

At 9:00 a.m. ET on the USA Network will be the quarterfinal round of indoor volleyball where South Korea will take on the Netherlands. Stay on USA at 11 a.m. ET where women’s basketball will Australia and Serbia fighting for a spot in the semifinal round of the Olympics.

Don’t miss on the men’s 10K open water swim on NBCSN. American Jordan Wilimovsky won the 2015 World Championships in that event and will be a threat to medal in Rio.

Afternoon slots:

Around noon on the USA network, Argentina and Germany will be battling it out for a spot in the gold medal final in men’s field hockey. However, if that’s not something that interests you, there are plenty of options at 12 p.m. ET.

On MSNBC, men’s water polo moves into the elimination round with Serbia and Spain fighting to get into the semifinal round. Women’s soccer will be on NBCSN where host nation Brazil and Sweden will be looking to advance to the gold medal round.

At 12:30 p.m. on USA, women’s handball moves into the quarterfinal rounds with Spain battling it out with France for a spot in the semifinal round.

Starting at 1 p.m. ET on NBC, The USA women’s volleyball will look to carry over their group play dominance into the elimination round in their quarterfinal match against Japan.

Switch over to NBCSN at 3 p.m. to catch Canada take on Germany in their semifinal match of women’s soccer. Following that will doubles badminton which will also be in the semifinal round.

Primetime slots:

In the primetime-ish slot on NBCSN will be women’s basketball. At 5:30 p.m., The U.S. women will start their elimination rounds against Japan. The American women have beat their opponents by an average of 40.8 points in Rio.

You can keep in on NBCSN where men’s super heavyweight weightlifting will be handing out gold medals. There might not be a lot of action like handball or basketball, but watching someone lift 450 pounds over their head is pretty amazing. Also on NBCSN will be lightweight boxing and wrestling in the gold medal matches.

At 8 p.m. on NBC, primetime coverage starts at Olympic Stadium with the high jump competition. The women’s 1500-meter run will follow, and the men’s 110-meter featuring American Devon Allen will conclude the night at the track.

NBC will then move to the last night of competition at gymnastics arena with the last individual medals being handed out. The men’s side will be handing out medals in the parallel bars and high bar, with Danell Leyva and Sam Mikulak in the running for some hardware. Ending gymnastics will be the women in the floor exercise, where Aly Raisman will be defending her floor exercise gold from London and Simone Biles is looking to recover from a bronze finish in the balance beam.

Ending the NBC’s coverage is the women’s beach volleyball semifinal with Americans Kerri Walsh Jennings and April Ross facing off against Agatha and Barbara of Brazil. Walsh Jennings and Ross have only lost one set in Rio, but will need to play at their best against the reigning world champions.
