Liverpool will now have an eye on next season following Jurgen Klopp's departure as manager.

The Reds finished Klopp's final season in charge in third place in the Premier League table behind Manchester City and Arsenal. Liverpool also won the Carabao Cup, which was the eighth major trophy across Klopp's tenure as manager.

Arne Slot is expected to be the next manager of Liverpool following Klopp's exit. The Feyenoord boss is likely to take charge at Anfield in the coming weeks, and will already be looking ahead to the new season.

The new Premier League season will begin this August but before then there will be anticipation building towards the release of the fixture list. Liverpool and the other 19 top-flight clubs will have their fixtures released on the same day.

It has already been confirmed that the Premier League will announce the fixture list for the 2024/25 season at 9am on Tuesday, June 18. At this point, the first round of TV fixtures for Sky Sports and TNT Sports will also be confirmed.

This season saw Liverpool travel to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in their opening fixture. The Reds' first home match at Anfield was against Bournemouth the following week.

Two newly-promoted clubs have already been confirmed, with Leicester City and Ipswich Town playing Premier League football next season. They will be joined by Leeds United or Southampton after the Championship play-off final. There will be no place for Luton Town, Burnley or Sheffield United in the Premier League next season, following their relegation to the Championship.

Liverpool will also make their return to the Champions League next season following their third-place finish this term. The revamped format will see the Reds play eight group-stage fixtures, with the schedule set to be confirmed later this summer.
