The 2024 NBA Draft is widely considered one of the weaker classes in recent memory. A few players have risen above the rest though as the clear-cut favorites of the group.

French forward Alexandre Sarr has emerged as one of this year's top prospects. Sarr's defensive prowess, 7'4 wingspan, and sneaky ability to score from midrange make him a interesting prospect with lots of potential. Sarr could very well go No. 1 overall on Wednesday, but not everyone agrees. Some experts believe fellow Frenchman Zaccharie Risacher is more likely to hear his name called first overall.

The 2024 draft may be one of the most unpredictable of the last ten years, and the variance at the top is evident. Here's where experts are anticipating Sarr to fall in the draft on Wednesday.

2024 NBA mock draft: Projections for all 30 first-round picks during draft week

Predictions for Alex Sarr in 2024 NBA Draft:

Kevin O'Connor, The Ringer: Washington Wizards, 2nd overall

O'Connor writes, "The Wizards haven’t had a defensive rating higher than 18th in seven seasons. As a versatile player with a 7-foot-4 wingspan, Sarr should be able to help there. Offensively, he’s more of an interior guy at this stage but has flashed potential scoring from midrange and has an improving 3-point jumper. Click here to read my in-depth analysis of Sarr’s potential and draft stock."

Krysten Peek, Yahoo Sports: Washington Wizards, 2nd overall

Peek writes, "Sarr is as close to a lock at No. 2 as one can get. He worked out and met with the Wizards but refused to do the same for the Hawks. Sarr’s potential as an elite rim protector on defense and a pick-and-pop threat on offense, along with how well he runs the floor for his size, makes him an intriguing NBA prospect in the frontcourt who can also stretch to the wing."

Jonathan Wasserman, Bleacher Report: Washington Wizards, 2nd overall

Wasserman writes, "The rise and success of defensive bigs with perimeter skill sets—Evan Mobley, Jaren Jackson Jr., Chet Holmgren, Victor Wembanyama—adds to the allure of Sarr. He measured well in Chicago, coming in at just under 7'0" in socks, 224 pounds with a 7'4" wingspan. At that size, the ability to slide his feet, handle in the open floor and shoot off the dribble separates him from other centers."
