Abdallah Sima in Rangers transfer tease as Gers fans sent into overdrive

Abdallah Sima has sent Rangers fans into overdrive with a transfer tease on social media.

Gers fans would love to see the Senegal forward back at Ibrox for next season and beyond after showing his ability when available during his loan last campaign. He managed a decent return of 16 goals in all competitions despite missing a lot of games through injury, and he was sorely missed when unavailable.

Brighton paid £7m to sign the 23-year-old from Slavia Prague three years ago and were said to at least want to recoup that, which would likely make a permanent deal tricky for the Light Blues. However, recent reports suggested they were ready to drop their demands with just a year left on Sima's contract.

The Seagulls were without a manager after sacking Roberto de Zerbi but they've since appointed Fabian Hurzeler which could mean they've been able to make a decision on the player's future.

Sima's social media activity would certainly seem to suggest something is in the pipeline. He has cheekily shared a montage scored during his time in Glasgow and wrote: "23/24, one to never forget. More to come," adding a 'soon' emoji.

Gers fans have been quick to read into that and are hoping it means he is on his way back to them. One said: "So you're telling me there's a chance?"

Another said: "Please come home Abdallah," while another added: "Hopefully more to come at rangers. Some unfinished business."
