Adam Idah Celtic transfer bid REJECTED by Norwich as fee and structure revealed

Celtic have had an offer of £4million plus add-ons for Adam Idah REJECTED, Football Scotland can reveal.

It has already been reported today that the Hoops had made their move for their former loanee by approaching Norwich City. And Football Scotland understands the offer they put on the table was for an initial £4m with potential further incentives in the form of add-ons.

But the Canaries have knocked that back as they actively do NOT want to sell the 23-year-old striker. It's understood the English Championship side feel that in order to replace Idah they would need a lot more than £4m because of his status - still young but already proven and a Republic of Ireland international.

Their new manager Johannes Hoff Thorup is excited to work with the player after his productive spell north of the border. It's not known if Celtic plan to return with an improved offer as there isn't a fee Norwich would set as an asking price because they are so keen to keep him on their books.

Brendan Rodgers has been determined to be reunited with Idah, along with fellow loanee from last season Paulo Bernardo, but may have to go back to the drawing board if the Canaries continue to stand firm. The player himself has been coy on his future but has dropped subtle hints he may be up for the move.

His loan signing in January was met with huge scepticism but he proved the doubters wrong by scoring huge goals to help in winning the title before firing in a winner against Rangers in the Scottish Cup final.
