Adam Idah Celtic transfer future update as new Norwich boss breaks silence

New Norwich boss Johannes Hoff Thorup has spoken on Adam Idah's future as he spoke to the press for the first time.

The Republic of Ireland had a big impact on loan at Celtic after arriving in January and the Hoops are desperate to bring him back next season. Brendan Rodgers is a massive fan but it would appear he isn't the only one as Thorup extolled his qualities as a centre forward and what he can bring to the team.

And despite already know plenty about Idah and how good he is, has vowed to to take a look at him and make his own mind up on what the future should hold for him. That could mean that even if Celts do get their man, they may have to play a waiting game until a decision is reached.

The Dane said: “Yes, definitely with that guy. He's an exciting player.

"And he's from here, and he's been in the club so many years and can do dangerous stuff up front.

"He's fast, he moves well, he gets into these areas in the box where you decide games.

"So definitely, I will have a look at him, I think otherwise it will be stupid.”

The English Championship side's sporting director Ben Knapper has already said they will have to sell some players in this window.

On that, Thorup added: "Listen, to be fair, I have a lot of conversations with this guy. He's more or less on top of my list in terms of phone calls, even more than my wife, I think. So, of course, a lot of conversations. But to be fair, I see great potential in the squad."
