Airbnb Is Offering "Golden Slumbers" In Abbey Road Studios

From ELLE DECOR

If you're even the slightest fan of the world's biggest music icons - say, The Beatles or Pink Floyd - you may just let out a giant soprano screech at this news.

Airbnb is offering the chance to sleep at the famous Abbey Road Studios, the home of legendary music moments, which span in genre from chromatic concertos to Honky-Tonk. The contest will award one winner and three guests with an overnight stay at the studio, hosted by famous DJ and chart-topper Mark Ronson (you know him from "Uptown Funk" - and he was also the producer of Adele's first album, "19").

Ronson will lead you through the townhouse, where you can play John Lennon's piano (still marked with cigarette burns from "The White Album" recording era), sit where Amy Winehouse recorded her last song with Tony Bennett or mix on the studio's famous mixing board, which according to The Daily Mail, is the largest in the world.

Music fans, we can see you drooling.

"Unless you are a recording artist, it is almost impossible to get inside Abbey Road Studios," said James McClure, Airbnb's general manager for Northern Europe, in a statement. "Guests will be able to enjoy everything that the studios have to offer, including the option to record during the stay. You never know, this experience could see the next supergroup emerge and walk that zebra crossing!"

We can still see you drooling.

The winner will be allowed to bring three guests to the townhouse for an overnight stay October 15. You can enter by October 6 by answering the question: "Abbey Road Studios has been the birthplace of some of the most iconic tracks of all time. Which song do you wish you had been there for while it was being recorded, and why?"

The winner will be selected October 11, and if you're not in London, Airbnb will fly you there.

This is just the most recent in a slue of contests Airbnb has been hosting at locations across the world. Others have included the chance to sleep 9,000 feet in the air at a ski resort or to spend a night at Fenway park.

It's a savvy promotional strategy. And we're not complaining.
