Alan Hutton has done his homework on two Rangers transfer targets and reckons they could be "amazing" signings.

Gers are thought to be close to announcing a deal for Moroccan striker Hamza Igamane from AS FAR in his homeland. While Bayern Munich winger Yusuf Kabadayi was another believe to be nearing a move to Ibrox, although the latest reports suggested that could be at risk thanks to former boss Gio van Bronckhorst.

Neither will be a particularly familiar name to most in Scottish football but after being intrigued by the links, the former Light Blues right-back decided to delve a bit deeper. And he has liked what he has seen and heard, believing them to be the perfect profiles to enhance his old club.

Hutton told Football Insider: “The two of them, of course, they’re a bit unknown. But, like everyone else, I’ve looked up what they’re all about and what they can bring to the team. They’re young, and I’m sure the backroom staff have done their due diligence on them and they think they can improve the squad.

"Look, there are still going to be question marks, we don’t know if they can play at this level in front of 50-60,000 people every other week, or in the Champions League if they get there. But it’s up to them to prove they can handle it. If so, they could be amazing signings.”
