The Brazilian men's national team were pushed to the brink in Wednesday's friendly vs. the United States, but avoided a second-ever head-to-head defeat thanks to the heroics of Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson.

Alisson made six saves as Brazil hung on for a 1-1 draw with the U.S. at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida. The 31-year-old made several key second-half stops as Brazil extended their unbeaten run to four matches.

Yunus Musah's fourth-minute missile looked destined to go in after striking the crossbar, but the rebound stayed out after redirecting off of Alisson's back.

The veteran goalkeeper later denied Christian Pulisic in the first half, diving low to repel the former Chelsea man's effort. However, Alisson would later watch as Pulisic snuck a 26th-minute free-kick past the Brazil wall and into the bottom corner for a 1-1 equalizer.

With both teams pressing for a winning goal after halftime, Alisson remained busy in between the posts. He denied Pulisic for a second time after the hour mark before also standing tall to deny substitute Brenden Aaronson a winning tally with seven minutes to play.

Despite out-shooting the United States 25-12, Brazil couldn't find a way past Matt Turner, settling for a road draw in its final pre-Copa America friendly.

Alisson's heroics certainly came to Brazil's rescue, providing Dorival Junior a reminder that he has one of the better shot-stoppers at his disposal.

Brazil open their group stage schedule on June 24 against Costa Rica before also facing Paraguay and Colombia in Group D.
